How can I wash my Sparco and Alpinestars fire resistant under garments and suit?
There is normally some washing symbols hidden in the suit somewhere, if they are are nomex from Sparco or Alpinestars
There is a bit of advice online, I found this:
Your suit is constructed out of high quality Aramid materials
(NOMEX/KEVLAR). To maintain its look for a long time , please take into
consideration the following care-instruction.
Wash your suit at a max temperature of 30°-40°, using a mild detergent.
Wash your suit on its own turned inside out, giving it only a light
short spin after the wash. Turn the suit back to its right side and more
or less drip dry it in a hanging position. Normally your suit should dry
overnight. Our recommendation: do not dry-clean the suit, as
dry-cleaning leaves to many residues. When drying your suit you also
shouldn't subject the suit to bright sunlight. Especially very light
coloured Aramid materials tend to easily take on a yellow hue. You can
avoid this by drying the suit inside out. The yellowing of the material
has however no influence on the security of your suit, as well as the
yellowing of the inside of your suit will have no influence on the
general look.items (which I assume they are) just a cool wash will do the trick.
