You recently supplied me with a Mocal remote filter head and associated filter. However I should also have ordered the 1/2 BSP Mocal steel male to male unions needed to connect to this. My question is, as these unions are not tapered, do I need some form of sealing ring for this connection?
Yes a seal is required, the best is a Dowty Seal our Mocal part Number M-DS-8.
