Is it good practice to use a cooper washer between the Mocal 90 degree oil union 1/2BSP fitting and the Mocal male to male 1/2 BSP adapter which attaches to the remote filter head. I have been using ptfe tape, but it always weeps some oil, either between the filter head and the adapter, or between the union and the adapter.
You should not use PTFE tape. The Mocal 90 degree union should be a metal to metal contact to the the 1/2 BSP male male adaptor. You should use a dowty seal or copper washer between the 1/2 BSP adaptor and the Mocal filter head or sandwich plate.
