Does the ITG ARAB54 airbox used in a cold-air intake setup for a K-series Caterham 7 generate significant induction noise, particularly when compared to a cotton pleated filter mounted directly to the throttle body?
The ITG ARAB54 airbox is designed to reduce induction noise and, based on customer experience, it is not noticeably noisey. No users have reported noise issues to date.
However, if any additional sound were to become bothersome, applying acoustic material to the box could help dampen it. Overall, noise should not be a concern when switching from a direct-to-throttle-body filter to the ITG ARAB54.
