Can the probe of the Racetech Mechanical Oil Temperature Gauge be disassembled to pass through a smaller hole in a bulkhead, or does the hole need to be the size of the lock nut?
The probe on the Racetech Oil Temperature Gauge and all Smiths mechanical temperature gauges is part of a sealed capillary system and cannot be disassembled,
You may need to make a 22mm hole to allow it to pass through. To tidy the installation, you can use a grommet like the Seals-It Firewall Split Grommet Seal, with the smallest size being suitable.
